Mailbox Improvement

The U.S. Post Office has designated Mailbox Improvement Week to encourage customers to examine and, where necessary, improve the appearance of their mailboxes. Mailboxes should be approved by the Postmaster General, designed to protect mail from weather, safe to use, conveniently located, and neat in appearance. Approved curbside mailbox styles include traditional, contemporary, and locked (full or limited service) designs.

Veterans Housing

Veterans Multi-Service Center (VMC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on assisting veterans who are at risk of, or who are literally homeless. The Reading office covers Berks as well as Lancaster and Schuylkill counties; the organization also serves much of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.
